Adept at drawing at an early age, Nicholas studied with several art teachers during his formative years. During this period he learned the fine arts of illustration and watercolors, woodcarving and batik and was already involved in his very first art exhibition as a youngster.

As a learning process, he worked as a graphic designer, photographer, sound engineer and, music producer. He returned to art in late 2011,
and got involved in various group and solo exhibitions, as well as attending a mentorship program by Wei Ling Gallery.

Today, Nicholas’s works can be found in galleries and private collections in London, New York, Germany, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, to name a few.

Taking cues from the great masters, Nicholas’s style can best be described as colorful and traditional, with a contemporary flair. His work borders on semi-realism, and has been revered for hiswork with light and shadows.

In 2016, Nicholas opened his own workspace, Satu Arts Studio & Gallery in Damansara Perdana Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, where he paints, reads, and works on his art shows and exhibitions.
